I get it. I thought it was something different at first and then after looking at it saw the true meaning and debth of the art it self. To me it looked like a brain but not quite.
Yeah--the title helps a lot. I was looking at it, and instead of it being a tree OUT in space, it was a tree imbedded in some kind of strata--yeah, brain works fine, both as a metaphor and as an image. We have things like trees growing in our brains, reaching out, fruiting, etc. Interesting picture!
Visual Arts Teacher/ Illustrator/ Painter/ Designer who will forever be passionate about art. Now that I have been painting and drawing for many years, I find myself at a crossroad. For the first time, I find myself yearning to explore different styles, techniques and subject matter than what I've become accustomed to. My ongoing goal is to create something everyday, all the while experimenting and growing along the way. I'm using this blog as a means to share my latest artistic endeavors. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteYeah, thats why it didn't turn out how I envisioned. I changed the name from Apple Tree to Brain Tree, it suits the piece better. Thanks for looking!
